Dr. Carole C. Lane is the Vice President of the Lane Medical Group and a practicing dermatologist and echocardiographer in Monroeville, Alabama. As a dermatologist, Dr. Lane focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails, and she is extremely vigilant about identifying and surgically excising skin cancers. Dr. Carole Lane is also the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Monroe County Hospital. In the role, she uses her 18 years of experience to interpret cardiac echocardiography, heart disease, and vascular ultrasound studies for the benefit of Monroe County Hospital and its surrounding counties. Dr. Carol Lane’s expertise has also earned her a place on the Medical Executive Committee for the Monroe County Hospital. Dr. Carole Lane has been dedicated to the study of medicine for 25 years, constantly increasing her knowledge to provide her patients with the best care possible. While working fulltime, Dr. Carole Lane earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating Cum Laude. After graduation, Carole Lane immediately began medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and graduated in the top 25% of her class. Dr. Lane then began her residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama Medical Center, studying at the Center’s Heart Station and being trained as a certified echocardiographer. Dr. Carole Lane also worked at the University of Alabama Medical Center for her postgraduate work in dermatology. Dr. Carole Lane is dedicated to helping those in need not only in her medical practice, but also in her free time. She is a certified private pilot and volunteers with Pilots for Christ, an organization that provides air transport for poor patients who are unable to travel on their own to treatment facilities. Dr. Lane also donates to a multitude of charitable organizations, including the Skin Cancer Foundation, Doctors without Borders, and the American Cancer Society. Dr. Carole Lane lives in Alabama.
